It\u00a0is\u00a0a\u00a0holy\u00a0interaction\u00a0between\u00a0God\u00a0and\u00a0His\u00a0people.<\/div>\n
It\u00a0celebrates\u00a0the\u00a0spiritual\u00a0union\u00a0that\u00a0Christians\u00a0have\u00a0with\u00a0Christ.<\/div>\n
It\u00a0is\u00a0also\u00a0called\u00a0communion,\u00a0because\u00a0it\u00a0strengthens\u00a0the\u00a0community\u00a0we\u00a0share\u00a0with\u00a0every\u00a0brother\u00a0and\u00a0sister\u00a0who\u00a0trust\u00a0in\u00a0Jesus\u00a0alone\u00a0for\u00a0salvation.<\/div>\n
God\u2019s\u00a0Word\u00a0warns\u00a0us\u00a0that\u00a0\u201cWhoever\u00a0eats\u00a0the\u00a0bread\u00a0or\u00a0drinks\u00a0the\u00a0cup\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0Lord\u00a0in\u00a0an\u00a0unworthy\u00a0manner\u00a0will\u00a0be\u00a0guilty\u00a0concerning\u00a0the\u00a0body\u00a0and\u00a0blood\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0Lord.\u201d<\/div>\n

We\u00a0must\u00a0think\u00a0carefully\u00a0about\u00a0this\u00a0sacrament.<\/div>\n
It\u00a0is\u00a0only\u00a0for\u00a0those\u00a0who:<\/div>\n
1.\u00a0have\u00a0examined\u00a0their\u00a0conscience,<\/div>\n
2.\u00a0who\u00a0truly\u00a0understand\u00a0the\u00a0nature\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0body\u00a0of\u00a0Christ,<\/div>\n
3.\u00a0who\u00a0have\u00a0committed\u00a0their\u00a0entire\u00a0life\u00a0to\u00a0following\u00a0Him,<\/div>\n
4.\u00a0who\u00a0are\u00a0members\u00a0of\u00a0a\u00a0bible-believing\u00a0church.<\/div>\n
Before\u00a0you\u00a0come\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0table\u00a0you\u00a0must\u00a0first\u00a0come\u00a0to\u00a0Jesus\u00a0in\u00a0faith!<\/div>\n
The\u00a0apostle\u00a0Paul\u00a0teaches\u00a0us\u00a0in\u00a0Romans\u00a010:9-10\u00a0\u2014\u201cIf\u00a0you\u00a0confess\u00a0with\u00a0your\u00a0mouth\u00a0that\u00a0Jesus\u00a0is\u00a0Lord\u00a0and\u00a0believe\u00a0in\u00a0your\u00a0heart\u00a0that\u00a0God\u00a0raised\u00a0him\u00a0from\u00a0the\u00a0dead,\u00a0you\u00a0will\u00a0be\u00a0saved.<\/div>\n
For\u00a0with\u00a0the\u00a0heart\u00a0one\u00a0believes\u00a0and\u00a0is\u00a0justified,\u00a0and\u00a0with\u00a0the\u00a0mouth\u00a0one\u00a0confesses\u00a0and\u00a0is\u00a0saved.\u201d<\/div>\n
We\u00a0at\u00a0this\u00a0church\u00a0cannot\u00a0judge\u00a0people\u2019s\u00a0hearts.<\/div>\n
Ask\u00a0the\u00a0Holy\u00a0Spirit\u00a0to\u00a0examine\u00a0your\u00a0heart.<\/div>\n
If\u00a0you\u00a0are\u00a0not\u00a0sure\u00a0about\u00a0your\u00a0relationship\u00a0with\u00a0Christ,\u00a0do\u00a0not\u00a0participate\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0sacrament.<\/div>\n
Instead,\u00a0please\u00a0let\u00a0us\u00a0pray\u00a0for\u00a0you.<\/div>\n
We\u00a0invite\u00a0everyone\u00a0to\u00a0come\u00a0up\u00a0so\u00a0we\u00a0can\u00a0pray\u00a0for\u00a0you.<\/div>\n
We\u00a0love\u00a0you\u00a0and\u00a0want\u00a0you\u00a0to\u00a0join\u00a0our\u00a0community!<\/div>\n
But\u00a0first\u00a0you\u00a0must\u00a0be\u00a0joined\u00a0to\u00a0Christ,\u00a0before\u00a0you\u00a0come\u00a0to\u00a0Christ\u2019s\u00a0table.<\/div>\n
But\u00a0please\u00a0let\u00a0us\u00a0pray\u00a0for\u00a0you\u00a0today.<\/div>\n
On\u00a0the\u00a0night\u00a0he\u00a0was\u00a0betrayed,\u00a0our\u00a0Lord\u00a0Jesus\u00a0Christ\u00a0took\u00a0bread.<\/div>\n
He\u00a0gave\u00a0thanks\u00a0to\u00a0his\u00a0Father.<\/div>\n
Then\u00a0he\u00a0broke\u00a0the\u00a0bread\u00a0and\u00a0gave\u00a0it\u00a0to\u00a0his\u00a0disciples.<\/div>\n
He\u00a0said,\u00a0“Take\u00a0and\u00a0eat.<\/div>\n
This\u00a0is\u00a0my\u00a0body\u00a0which\u00a0is\u00a0broken\u00a0for\u00a0you.<\/div>\n
Do\u00a0this\u00a0to\u00a0remember\u00a0me.”<\/div>\n
In\u00a0the\u00a0same\u00a0way,\u00a0he\u00a0also\u00a0took\u00a0the\u00a0cup\u00a0and\u00a0said\u00a0a\u00a0prayer\u00a0of\u00a0thanks.<\/div>\n
Then\u00a0he\u00a0gave\u00a0it\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0disciples,\u00a0saying,\u00a0“This\u00a0cup\u00a0is\u00a0the\u00a0new\u00a0covenant\u00a0in\u00a0my\u00a0blood,\u00a0which\u00a0is\u00a0poured\u00a0out\u00a0for\u00a0many\u00a0for\u00a0the\u00a0forgiveness\u00a0of\u00a0sin.<\/div>\n

This\u00a0table\u00a0is\u00a0a\u00a0family\u00a0table.<\/div>\n
We\u00a0celebrate\u00a0together\u00a0the\u00a0connection\u00a0we\u00a0have\u00a0with\u00a0Jesus\u00a0our\u00a0older\u00a0brother,\u00a0and\u00a0the\u00a0connection\u00a0we\u00a0have\u00a0here\u00a0as\u00a0brothers\u00a0and\u00a0sisters.<\/div>\n
This\u00a0bread\u00a0and\u00a0this\u00a0cup\u00a0do\u00a0not\u00a0save\u00a0you.<\/div>\n
But\u00a0if\u00a0you\u00a0are\u00a0a\u00a0follower\u00a0of\u00a0Jesus,\u00a0this\u00a0meal\u00a0feeds\u00a0your\u00a0soul.<\/div>\n
It\u00a0makes\u00a0your\u00a0faith\u00a0strong,\u00a0and\u00a0fills\u00a0your\u00a0heart\u00a0with\u00a0gratitude,\u00a0hope,\u00a0and\u00a0peace.<\/div>\n

God\u00a0of\u00a0peace,\u00a0you\u00a0raised\u00a0our\u00a0Lord\u00a0Jesus\u00a0from\u00a0the\u00a0dead.<\/div>\n

The\u00a0Lord\u2019s\u00a0Supper\u00a0is\u00a0a\u00a0sacrament. It\u00a0is\u00a0a\u00a0holy\u00a0interaction\u00a0between\u00a0God\u00a0and\u00a0His\u00a0people. It\u00a0celebrates\u00a0the\u00a0spiritual\u00a0union\u00a0that\u00a0Christians\u00a0have\u00a0with\u00a0Christ. It\u00a0is\u00a0also\u00a0called\u00a0communion,\u00a0because\u00a0it\u00a0strengthens\u00a0the\u00a0community\u00a0we\u00a0share\u00a0with\u00a0every\u00a0brother\u00a0and\u00a0sister\u00a0who\u00a0trust\u00a0in\u00a0Jesus\u00a0alone\u00a0for\u00a0salvation. God\u2019s\u00a0Word\u00a0warns\u00a0us\u00a0that\u00a0\u201cWhoever\u00a0eats\u00a0the\u00a0bread\u00a0or\u00a0drinks\u00a0the\u00a0cup\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0Lord\u00a0in\u00a0an\u00a0unworthy\u00a0manner\u00a0will\u00a0be\u00a0guilty\u00a0concerning\u00a0the\u00a0body\u00a0and\u00a0blood\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0Lord.\u201d (1\u00a0Corinthians\u00a011:27) We\u00a0must\u00a0think\u00a0carefully\u00a0about\u00a0this\u00a0sacrament. It\u00a0is\u00a0only\u00a0for\u00a0those\u00a0who: 1.\u00a0have\u00a0examined\u00a0their\u00a0conscience, 2.\u00a0who\u00a0truly\u00a0understand\u00a0the\u00a0nature\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0body\u00a0of\u00a0Christ, 3.\u00a0who\u00a0have\u00a0committed\u00a0their\u00a0entire\u00a0life\u00a0to\u00a0following\u00a0Him, 4.\u00a0who\u00a0are\u00a0members\u00a0of\u00a0a\u00a0bible-believing\u00a0church. Before\u00a0you\u00a0come\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0table\u00a0you\u00a0must\u00a0first\u00a0come\u00a0to\u00a0Jesus\u00a0in\u00a0faith! The\u00a0apostle\u00a0Paul\u00a0teaches\u00a0us\u00a0in\u00a0Romans\u00a010:9-10\u00a0\u2014\u201cIf\u00a0you\u00a0confess\u00a0with\u00a0your\u00a0mouth\u00a0that\u00a0Jesus\u00a0is\u00a0Lord\u00a0and\u00a0believe\u00a0in\u00a0your\u00a0heart\u00a0that\u00a0God\u00a0raised\u00a0him\u00a0from\u00a0the\u00a0dead,\u00a0you\u00a0will\u00a0be\u00a0saved. Ask\u00a0the\u00a0Holy\u00a0Spirit\u00a0to\u00a0examine\u00a0your\u00a0heart. If\u00a0you\u00a0are\u00a0not\u00a0sure\u00a0about\u00a0your\u00a0relationship\u00a0with\u00a0Christ,\u00a0do\u00a0not\u00a0participate\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0sacrament. Instead,\u00a0please\u00a0let\u00a0us\u00a0pray\u00a0for\u00a0you. We\u00a0invite\u00a0everyone\u00a0to\u00a0come\u00a0up\u00a0so\u00a0we\u00a0can\u00a0pray\u00a0for\u00a0you. We\u00a0love\u00a0you\u00a0and\u00a0want\u00a0you\u00a0to\u00a0join\u00a0our\u00a0community! But\u00a0first\u00a0you\u00a0must\u00a0be\u00a0joined\u00a0to\u00a0Christ,\u00a0before\u00a0you\u00a0come\u00a0to\u00a0Christ\u2019s\u00a0table. But\u00a0please\u00a0let\u00a0us\u00a0pray\u00a0for\u00a0you\u00a0today. On\u00a0the\u00a0night\u00a0he\u00a0was\u00a0betrayed,\u00a0our\u00a0Lord\u00a0Jesus\u00a0Christ\u00a0took\u00a0bread.
