because of your unfailing love. <\/span><\/p>\n

Because of your great compassion, <\/span><\/p>\n

blot out the stain of my sins. <\/span><\/p>\n

ALL: <\/span>2 <\/span><\/sup>Wash me clean from my guilt. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Purify me from my sin. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Leader: <\/span>3 <\/span><\/sup>For I recognize my rebellion; <\/span><\/p>\n

it haunts me day and night. <\/span><\/p>\n

ALL: <\/span>4 <\/span><\/sup>Against you, and you alone, have I sinned; <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

I have done what is evil in your sight. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Leader: <\/span>5 <\/span><\/sup>For I was born a sinner\u2014 <\/span><\/p>\n

yes, from the moment my mother conceived me. <\/span><\/p>\n

ALL: <\/span>7 <\/span><\/sup>Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Leader: <\/span>9 <\/span><\/sup>Don\u2019t keep looking at my sins. <\/span><\/p>\n

Remove the stain of my guilt. <\/span><\/p>\n

ALL: <\/span>10 <\/span><\/sup>Create in me a clean heart, O God. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Renew a loyal spirit within me. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Leader: <\/span>11 <\/span><\/sup>Do not banish me from your presence, <\/span><\/p>\n

and don\u2019t take your Holy Spirit from me. <\/span><\/p>\n

ALL: <\/span>12 <\/span><\/sup>Restore to me the joy of your salvation, <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

and make me willing to obey you. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

15 <\/span><\/sup>Unseal my lips, O Lord, <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

that my mouth may praise you. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Leader: <\/span>16 <\/span><\/sup>You do not desire a sacrifice, or I would offer one. <\/span><\/p>\n

You do not want a burnt offering. <\/span><\/p>\n
