Psalm 87:3–7

3 Glorious things are said of you,

city of God:

4 “I will record Rahab  and Babylon

among those who acknowledge me—

Philistia too, and Tyre, along with Cush—

and will say, ‘This one was born in Zion.’ ”

5 Indeed, of Zion it will be said,

“This one and that one were born in her,

and the Most High himself will establish her.”

6 The Lord will write in the register of the peoples:

“This one was born in Zion.”

7 As they make music they will sing,

“All my fountains are in you.”

Deuteronomy 16:16c-17

French: 16c On ne paraîtra point devant l’Éternel les mains vides. 17 Chacun donnera ce qu’il pourra, selon les bénédictions que l’Éternel, ton Dieu, lui aura accordées.

English: 16c No one should appear before the Lord empty-handed: 17 Each of you must bring a gift in proportion to the way the Lord your God has blessed you.

Ezekiel 36:24-27

Leader: The Lord says, 24 I will gather you up from all the nations and bring you home again to your land.
ALL: 25 “Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean.
I will wash your sins away, and you will no longer worship idols.

Leader: 26 And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you.
ALL: I will take out your heart of stone, and give you a heart of flesh.

Leader: 27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my Word and be careful to obey my laws.
ALL: Holy Spirit, we invite you to move in us while we worship today.
Give us new hearts! Make us more like Jesus! Amen!

Psalm 103:1-5, 8-14

Leader: 1 Praise the Lord, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
All: 2 Praise the Lord, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—
3 who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,

Leader: 4 who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
All: 5 who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Leader: 8 The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love.
9 He will not always accuse,
nor will he harbor his anger forever;
All: 10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve
or repay us according to our iniquities.

Leader: 11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him;
All: 12 as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

Leader: 13 As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;
All: 14 for he knows how we are formed,
he remembers that we are dust.
