Prayer of Confession (from Psalm 103)
God in Heaven, you are holy. You are mighty, you are worthy of praise! You are powerful, and awesome in every way! You have blessed us with good things. But our hearts are not satisfied with your blessings. We seek joy and security in other places. We think evil thoughts and say unkind things. We love ourselves more than our neighbors. We do not obey your good commands. Please forgive our sin. Wash away our guilt and shame. Heal our wandering hearts. We pray in the name of Jesus our one and only Savior. Amen.
