Based on Ephesians 2:14–21

Leader: Brothers and sisters, Christ himself has brought peace to us!

ALL: Jesus has united Jews and Gentiles into one people. His broken body on the cross broke down the wall of hostility between people.

Leader: 15 He fulfilled the commandments of God perfectly, freeing us from the burden of the law.

ALL: 16 By trusting in Christ’s death on the cross, we can have peace with God and also with one another.

Leader: 17 He brought this Good News of peace to you who were far away from him, and peace to those who were near.

ALL: 18 Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us.

Leader: 19 So now you are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family.

ALL: 20 Together, we are his house, and the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself. 21 We are carefully joined together in him, becoming a holy temple for the Lord! Now, let us worship Him with joy and thanksgiving!

Based on Ephesians 4:4-6

Leader: We are here together as one family.

All: One people, gathered in the name of the one God.

Leader: We will worship together as one.

All:One community, giving praise and honor to the Righteous One.

Leader: We are given power to be one by the One true God.

All:One body and one Spirit, answering one calling,

Leader: One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

All: One God and Father of all who is above all and through all and in all.

Leader: Now, in the name of the Three-in-One, we live as one.

All:One people, telling the world about the power of the One true God.

Ephesians 2:11-22

Leader: 11a Remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth … 12 you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

ALL: 14 For He himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, 15 by setting aside in His flesh the law with its commands and regulations.

Leader: His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, 16a and in one Body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross…

ALL: 18 For through Him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.

Leader: 19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.

ALL: 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 In Him we are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by His Spirit.

Ephesians 1:3-14

ALL: We worship him together!

Leader: Our God chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world,

ALL: We worship him together!

Leader: Our God adopted us as children through Jesus Christ,

ALL: We worship him together!

Leader: Our God forgave our sins according to the riches of His grace,

ALL: We worship him together!

Leader: Our God made known to us the mystery of his will.

ALL: We worship him together!

Leader: This is our God!

ALL: We worship him together!
