Psalm 103:1-5, 8-14

Leader: 1 Praise the Lord, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
All: 2 Praise the Lord, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—
3 who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,

Leader: 4 who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
All: 5 who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Leader: 8 The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love.
9 He will not always accuse,
nor will he harbor his anger forever;
All: 10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve
or repay us according to our iniquities.

Leader: 11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him;
All: 12 as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

Leader: 13 As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;
All: 14 for he knows how we are formed,
he remembers that we are dust.

Psalm 34:1-10

Leader: 1 I will praise the Lord at all times.
I will constantly speak his praises.

ALL: 2 I will boast only in the Lord;
let all who are helpless take heart.

Leader: 3 Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness; let us exalt his name together.

ALL: 4 I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears.

Leader: 5 Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy;
no shadow of shame will darken their faces.

ALL: 6 In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened;
he saved me from all my troubles.

Leader: 8 Taste and see that the Lord is good.
Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!

ALL: 9 Fear the Lord, you his godly people,
for those who fear him will have all they need.

Leader: 10 Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.

ALL: 2 I will boast only in the Lord;
let all who are helpless take heart.

  “Lord, save me!”

Psalm 117:1–2

English Leader:  2 And the other nations said,
  “What amazing things the Lord has done for them.”

ALL: 3 Yes, the Lord has done amazing things for us! What joy!
  4 Restore our fortunes, Lord, as streams renew the desert.

French Leader: 5 Ceux qui sèment avec larmes
  Moissonneront avec chants d’allégresse.

ALL: 6 They weep as they go to plant their seed,
  but they sing as they return with the harvest.

  Yes, may all the nations praise you.

  because you govern the nations with justice
  and guide the people of the whole world.

ALL: 5 May the nations praise you, O God.
  Yes, may all the nations praise you.

  and God, our God, will richly bless us.

  and people all over the world will fear him.
