Romans 8:35-39

Leader: 35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?

ALL: 37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.

Leader: 38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love.

ALL: Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—

Leader: not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.

ALL: 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below, nothing in all creation will ever separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 Corinthians 12:1–28

Leader: 6 God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us.

ALL: 7 A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other.

Leader: 12 The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ.

ALL: 21 The eye can never say to the hand, “I don’t need you.” The head can’t say to the feet, “I don’t need you.”

Leader: 25 This makes for harmony among the members, so that all the members care for each other.

26 If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it, and if one part is honored, all the parts are glad.

ALL: 27 All of us together are Christ’s body. Each of us are a part of Christ’s Church!

From Isaiah 7:14; 9:7; 35:10

Reader 1: 因此主自己必给你们一个兆头:

看哪!必有童女怀孕生子;

她要给他起名叫‘以马内利’。

Reader 2: The Lord Himself will give you a sign:

Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son.

She will call His name Immanuel. (Isaiah 7:14)

Reader 1: 他的政权与平安必无穷无尽地增加,

他在大卫的宝座上治理他的国,

以公平和公义使国坚立稳固,

从现在直到永远。

Reader 2: His government and its peace will never end.

He will rule with fairness and justice

from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. (Isaiah 9:7)

ALL: Those who have been ransomed by the Lord will return,

crowned with everlasting joy.

Sorrow and grief will disappear,

and they will be filled with joy and gladness. (Isaiah 35:10)

From Philippians 2:5–11

Leader: 5 In your relationships with one another,

have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:

ALL: 6 Who, being in very nature God,

did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;

Leader: 7 rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant,

ALL: he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!

Leader: 9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place

and gave him the name that is above every name,

ALL: 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,

11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord!

Ephesians 2:11-22

Leader: 11a Remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth … 12 you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

ALL: 14 For He himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, 15 by setting aside in His flesh the law with its commands and regulations.

Leader: His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, 16a and in one Body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross…

ALL: 18 For through Him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.

Leader: 19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.

ALL: 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 In Him we are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by His Spirit.
